Re: problems
We hope customers writing negative opinions will act in good faith and revisit their reviews to reflect the changes in current updates.
Almost all negative reviews are related to some iPhones going to sleep, an issue which was fixed long ago (in version 1.0.1, made available around September 8th). We apologize on behalf of Apple for taking so long releasing the update, which was completed some two weeks before it appeared on the App Store. If users are still seeing issues, we have a support email set up to give us quick feedback. (Reviews sometimes take more than a day to get posted.)
Lograh: Your inflammatory remarks does unfortunately not show much understanding of the iPhone platform. As 3d-party developers, we are not allowed to physically lower the brightness of the display unless we let the iPhone go to sleep, which, as you so kindly remind us, halts Meditation Timer so it wont ring when the time is out. One thing we could do is "fake" lowering the brightness by darkening the image we display, but that would do little to improve battery life since the light output would be constant. (If you come up with a technical solution for this issue, by all means let us know.) However, dimming the screen would probably help alleviate "screen burn-in" fears, which is why were planning on adding something like this if theres user demand for it.
The next version (1.0.2, submitted a week ago) will add an option to disable vibration on the iPhone.
(I am the developer of Meditation Timer, and thus set a neutral rating of three stars.)
